Student Satisfaction Data 2015-2016

As is required of schools that are members of accrediting agencies that are recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, Bethany Global University annually does a significant amount of research on our outcomes and effectiveness. Some of the highlights we found this year are as follows

Assessment Highlights

  • We have a strong focus on bringing the Church to where it is not (missions). Our Alumni Survey shows that close to 50% of our three-year alumni have been appointed as missionaries and 50% are in the process of preparing to go to the mission field (e.g., raising support, pursuing additional training). A great benefit of our curriculum is having students complete a significant portion of their studies on the field while doing a 16-month Global Internship. This has proven to be a strength for those preparing to do a missionary career.
  • Over multiple years, our Senior Spiritual Assessment, Exit Survey, and out 360 Degree Assessment both suggest we are facilitating “Transformation,” “Empowerment,” and the development of “Attitudes and Values Necessary for Effective Ministry in Another Culture.”
  • Over multiple years, our Transcript Report, Global Intern Survey, and Exit Survey, suggest we are facilitating “Ethnographic Research & Contextual Skills,” “Adaptation Skills,” Critical Thinking Skills (especially as applied to cross-cultural life and ministry)” and “Introduction to Creative Access Strategies (creative deployment).”
  • The Employee Satisfaction Survey gives ample evidence that BGU employees find their work very meaningful and that relationships between colleagues is very warm.
