Being Inspired To Do Your Job

BCOM Courtyard

As I sit in my office cubicle, I enjoy a cup of coffee and my view from the huge windows in the middle of the room: red, orange, yellow and green. Yes, that is the beauty of Fall. I know I should be working, but all I desire to do is spend time with the Creator. A walk sounds really nice along with my cup of coffee that is firmly attached to my hands, but reality sets in and reminds me that I need to get things done. Luckily, the beauty of creation never ceases to inspire me, so I am able to focus on the goodness of God’s promises in the midst of all that I need to accomplish today. I go to my playlist to Will Reagan and the United Pursuit and the sweetest song comes on: Story of Grace.

Jesus, You called me friend.

Jesus, You’ve made me what I am.

I will live by the light of the glory You shine on me.

I will live by the grace You offer so freely.

Encouraged by these words of truth the Lord reminded me of what He has made me to be: a woman passionately driven to spread the light of His glory to the nations. In this, I am able to walk out in what the Lord has called me to this season because I am made for more.

What inspires you? Find out how you were made for more.
