New Year, New Students, and New Internship Sites

Written by Mayra Palomino

On January 5th, 2015 BGU welcomed the new year with the arrival of new students. BGU Students and staff worked together as they readied the school for incoming arrivals. The community beautified campus, arranged documents and information, and organized events for the incoming set of individuals. It was a time of hard work and excitement for the community.

Hard work paid off as new students began to arrive from local Bloomington residents, to as far as Texas and California. Glistening white snow welcomed new arrivals, giving a frosty Minnesotan welcome to students who had never experienced snow before.

Not only did new students join us to welcome 2016, but teams of seniors rejoined us as they wrapped up their 16 month global internship in France, Thailand, and Kenya. Speaking of internships, with a growing student body, BGU is preparing to launch new internship sites! More details to come.

BGU would like to thank all staff, sophomores and fall freshmen for their collaboration in setting up orientation week. We would like to welcome new students and welcome back seniors from their overseas journey.

2016 is bound to be a blessed year as we continue to get to know each other, grow together, learn together, and serve one another, striving towards the heart of the Lord, showing love to one another and developing our goal of missions to share His heart with the world.
