What does being made for more mean to me? Ahh….that is a hard question to answer.
I could give this inspirational message about how the Lord stays true to his promises and has had a plan for me before the beginning of time, but truly, that is a difficult topic.
Clearly, I know that as a follower of Christ, I am being held to a higher standard in my daily life.
I know that I am adopted through Jesus Christ and have power to live a righteous and just life before the eyes of God and man.
I know that in all that I do, I am victorious because I serve a good God who makes all things work out for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).
What makes this question so difficult to answer is that there are millions of people who do not understand these truths:
- People are walking into darkness and believe that it is the only way to live.
- The Lord is calling His people to the lost, to restore what is broken. He is calling the Church to move in such a way that people understand that they are crowned with royalty.
- We, the Church, are made for radical passion and simple obedience.
As I sit and ponder all of this, I think of the people of God who are stagnantly blind to the needs of the lost. My heart aches and yearns to see this generation step up into obedience. There is so much more that we can do together, as one body of Christ.
There are millions of people who are not aware of the richness that comes through salvation. Do we consider the love of God as something worth giving our lives for and do we live like we’re made for something more?
Do you see the needs of the hurting and lost? Are you wasting callings and gifts that God has placed inside of you?
