What is TEDx?
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxBethanyGlobalUniversity, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxBethanyGlobalUniversity event, TED Talks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
This independent TEDx event is operated under license from TED.
You can learn more at TED.com.
Why We Are Hosting the Event
TED has become an international platform for spreading ideas and we believe there are a number of unique ideas worth spreading from here at Bethany Global University. Topics will range from experiential education, personal growth, accelerating change, and crossing cultures.
Seating for the event is limited and is by invitation only but the videos will be available to watch soon after and will be uploaded to this blog. So, check back for an update or subscribe to get an update via email automatically.
