Campus Preview Weekend

The best way to understand if BGU is the right fit for you is to visit campus. Ultimately, Bethany Global University exists to prepare, train, and send the next generation of cross-cultural Christians with a low-cost, accredited degree.

Can my younger sibling come along?

If your sibling is a high school Junior or older then they can come as a participant of the event. They would need to register online as well.

I am the parent of a student coming to the event, will I be able to participate in the activities or should I make other plans?

We highly encourage parent involvement, so you are more than welcome to attend as much of the event as you would like. There are two events which are specifically for students: dinner with a life group and open dorm night, which we ask parents not to attend.

However, there are a number of sessions that will help you to understand the university, Global Internship, and financial information from a parent perspective. We will have a Parent Q&A and individual meetings scheduled with applicants and accepted students, so please come ready to ask all of your questions!

Throughout the event, if you would rather not sit in on a certain session, hang out or take a walk around campus, or connect with a staff member. We can also give you directions to Mugshots Coffee Co., the Mall of America, or other local attractions.

What should I bring to the event? Or not bring?

What to bring:

  • Bring your own sleeping bag, pillow, and bedding
  • Toiletries
  • Pajamas
  • Athletic clothes (no dark soled shoes can be used in the gym)
  • A jacket and depending on the weather, gloves and a hat
  • A Bible
  • Cell phones are fine, but should be set on vibrate during sessions

What not to bring:

  • Weapons of any kind
  • Fireworks
  • Illegal drugs, alcohol, or tobacco products
  • Immodest clothing (spaghetti strap camis, jeans with undergarments showing, etc.)

There is no cost for this event! Students who attend Campus Preview Weekend are eligible for up to $2,000 scholarship discount.
