    • Bethany Global University acknowledges that we have signed and returned to the Department the Certification and Agreement. Also, we assure that we have used no less than 50 percent of the funds received under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students.
    • BGU has received $130,533 from the Department pursuant to the institution’s Certification and Agreement for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students.
    • $130,533.74 of Emergency Financial Aid Grants has been distributed to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act as of July 10, 2020.
    • An estimated total of 229 students at the institution were eligible to participate in programs under Section 484 in Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 and thus eligible to receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act.
    • 229 students have received an Emergency Financial Aid Grant to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act.
    • Students who were actively attending BGU as of March 13, 2020 (the date of the President’s Proclamation, “Declaring a National Emergency Concerning the Novel Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Outbreak”), were not enrolled exclusively in online programs prior to March 13, 2020, and completed a FAFSA received an emergency financial aid grant. Of those students, Pell eligible students received $680.06 and the remaining students received $480.06.

    The award is from funding through the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund authorized by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. It is to help with expenses related to disruptions to your education due to the COVID-19 outbreak, including things like course materials and technology as well as food, housing, health care, and childcare.
