Our 7th President of Bethany, David’s passion is to see young adults on fire for Christ, equipping them to be ministry leaders across the world. He’s also passionate about empowering missionaries to spread the Gospel around the world. David joined the university in 2013 as Vice President and quickly rose through the ranks. He provided leadership to enrollment and student life during a time when BGU received accreditation with the Association for Biblical Higher Education. Before coming to Bethany, David served as the Executive Vice President of Teen Mania Ministries and was the Director of the Honor Academy from 1995-2012. Dave has a B.S. in Education from Oral Roberts University, an M.A. in Intercultural Leadership, and a Doctorate in Strategic Leadership.
David lives an active lifestyle, racing in triathlons! When he’s not at work he loves to read and spend time with his energetic family God has brought together in His mercy. His blended family has six children, three in-laws, and six grandchildren.

Anna’s varied background in education has prepared her well for her role as our Financial Aid Director at BGU. She earned her B.A. in Elementary Education at North Central University, and prior to her current role was an Admissions Supervisor for BGU. Her attention to detail was honed during her role as Curriculum Coordinator and Teacher at Hospitality House Youth Development.
For fun, she likes to play volleyball, garden, test out new recipes, and dabble in a variety of craft projects. Anna and her husband Bryan have two preschool sons, and decided the boys didn’t create enough chaos so they’ve added an English Springer Spaniel puppy to the mix. Their young family enjoys camping, fishing, and taking walks, and playing with construction vehicles.

How does being a former wealth management advisor and financial retirement planner help Doug at BGU? Experiences at Twin City area financial firms gave him the tools he needed to teach juniors and seniors at Bethany Global University how to build fundraising networks in preparation for their Global Internships. His previous role as Director of Operations & Finance for our missions training/sending division also prepared him for his current VP of Global Internships role.
Doug earned his B.A. in Economics at St. Olaf College, and his M.A. in Intercultural Ministry Leadership at BGU. Minnesota born and raised, he has a deep love for hockey, and for his three sons and one daughter—not necessarily in that order. He and his wife Ashley have been married since 2007, and are raising their brood in Bloomington. Doug is also passionate about teaching financial stewardship, so much so that in 2017 he penned “Storehouse Fund,” a book about biblical tithing.

As a BGU alum prior to starting his first job at Bethany Global University in 2007, Jason provides valuable history here. He served as University Registrar for 11 years, and then assumed his current role as Academic Dean. He’s also moonlighting as a waiter at Chanhassen Dinner Theater, which is a step up from his former stint as a Subway sandwich artist, and a definite upgrade from shoveling asphalt for a driveway installation company, both gigs he held while in high school.
Jason earned his B.A. from BGU, his M.A. in Human Services Counseling from Liberty University, and is pursuing his PhD in Organizational Leadership from Columbia International University. He and his wife Beka—also a Bethany employee—have been married since 2004 and have five girls and two boys, and 12 chickens in the backyard coop. (The chickens, not the kids…) Given his busy family life and doctoral work, he doesn’t have much time for hobbies, but enjoys watching movies and a good TV series. He hopes his schedule will allow him to get back to enjoying live theater productions soon!

A three decade career in Christian school educational leadership and pastoral ministry have prepared Darin well for his role as Senior Vice President at Bethany Global University (BGU). We appreciate his gentle, yet decisive leadership, and attention to the details needed to run an accredited university. Darin earned his undergrad at North Central University (NCU), his MEd in Christian School Administration at Southwestern Assemblies of God University, and his DMin at Assemblies of God Theological Seminary.
He and his wife, Kandi, met at NCU and were married in 1989. They are blessed with three young adult children—Evan, Molly, and Bryce. They are an adoption story family as their two oldest kids were adopted from Cambodia. For fun he enjoys hanging with his family, cheering for the Packers, and playing golf.
